Most of those times it actually happened with popular games, so here is my opinion on what the matter probably is, not every game in there is going to infect you with anything from the actual game, rather it probably will be from the pop ups to get to download the game, so if you check your browser and find nothing unusual you are probably safe. Personally I have not had any issues with most games i have downloaded from igg, not even gotten anything on my browser, I did sometimes get a pop up from Defender that the file had a virus and whenever that happened I let it take care of the file and would just try and find it somewhere. I don't care about any of these websites, the point of this subreddit is to support people with their technical issues, and help them use the internet without getting infected with viruses, most people pirate because they can't afford the game, which most likely means they barely were able to get the computer, and it's probably not even a powerful one, then, comes these websites sending viruses slowing their computer even more, or maybe even breaking it, that's pure selfishness, and I'm here to help them avoid such scenarios.Īnd if the owner of IGG cared a tiny bit about their users' safety, they would've at least added warnings on their original website that other domains are fake, just like what FitGirl does, but I'll tell you what they care about, $$$$$$$$ You know, in my country we have a saying: "I hate my craft when it's on some other's hands", and this is what's happening.Ī liar would always think everyone is lying, a thief would always think everyone is trying to rob them, a fraud would always think everyone is conspiring against them. Why would they talk about "Russians" trying to destroy other websites except ones from Russia, while they do such things? I agree with this, therefore, I advise you to read this post: Just want to remind you, you should not be easily cheated. So why risk it when there's tons of safer alternatives with better reputations? If they do that, they can surely add malware and backdoors as well Why should I trust a website that actually modified games and added their own DRM in it? I haven't done anything but talked about my own experience, their website is shady, and it's better to not use it I'm not Russian, I have no connection whatsoever with any of these websites, the closest thing I got was FitGirl replying to my comment rejecting the idea of having a subreddit. I don't care much about this, I just want to remind you, you should not be easily cheated.'

If you look carefully, you will realize this, I think I should call it is "subreddit Russian websites and friends". If someone left a bad comment about some of their *famous repacker*, or their website, they would quickly delete the comment, even if it had reached hundreds of likes.

I just want to say that these administrators are not good, somehow they will gradually remove other sites or try to spread bad rumors as much as possible to other sites. I'm not saying that the sites coming from Russia are bad, even I have a few good friends in Russia. Oh, I've tried searching for information from a few admin, most of the admins of those subreddits are from Russia, and they are always giving priority to their Russian web sites. Some admins of the subreddit say that my website inserts the virus into the user's cookies (as mentioned above), I don't know why they don't have such knowledge but still be the admin of those pages, or maybe another plot. 'Marginal, I see some subreddit saying bad about us (I get information from my friends, remember that I never use reddit as well as have an account there). Here's a statement from the site's owner, I'd like to remind you that it's that is the official one: Hostile Javascript (possibly browser/cookie hijacker) on their website:.
